Open Enrollment

2024-25 Enrollment Application Process

ISSAC is accepting applications for students from TK to 8th grade for the 2024-25 school year. NOTE: If you are interested in transferring during the year, please email office@issaccharter.org. We have limited space available. Those enrolled this current school year are automatically re-enrolled for next year (2025-26 school year)

Thank you for your interest in enrolling your child at International School for Science and Culture.  We understand how important it is to find the right educational program for your child, and appreciate your consideration of ISSAC as your school of choice.

Steps for Enrollment

As a public charter school, International School for Science and Culture must follow the guidelines outlined in our charter petition regarding admission and enrollment of students. The process explained below is designed to provide a fair opportunity for all students to apply to our school, regardless of race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, home language, or disability.

1. Open Enrollment Period

ISSAC's open enrollment period for the 2024-25 school year begins January 31st, 2024 and ends February 28, 2024 at 11:59 pm.  Applications received after the deadline will be placed on the waitlist on a first come, first served basis.

2. Parent Information Meeting

Interested parents may attend an Information Night prior to applying for enrollment at ISSAC. ISSAC is hosting several Parent Information Meetings throughout the months of February and March.  Attendance is optional and an RSVP is not required.

3. Enrollment Application

Parents will be given the opportunity to complete a request for enrollment.  The Enrollment Application can be completed online, and must be received before midnight on February 28, 2024.  Applications received after this date will be placed directly on the wait list. All information must be 100% complete.

4. Lottery

Following the Open Enrollment period, applications will be counted to determine whether any grade level has received more applications than availability. In the event that this happens, ISSAC will hold a random public lottery to determine enrollment for the impacted grade levels, with the exception of existing students who are guaranteed enrollment in the following school year. Siblings of students drawn from the random public lottery will also be enrolled depending upon space available at the given grade level during the lottery process. Siblings not able to be placed will be given priority status on the waitlist.

5. Lottery Results

Parents and guardians are welcome to attend the lottery, but your presence is not required. A notice of the lottery results will be emailed to all applicants by April 1, 2024.

6. Admission to ISSAC

Upon acceptance to International School for Science and Culture, a Registration Packet must be completed which includes an admissions application, home language survey, health history questionnaire, copy of most current immunizations, and a copy of the student's IEP or 504 plan, if applicable. No student will be denied admission to ISSAC based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, home language, or disability.

Information Nights

All Information Nights will be held online via zoom until further notice.

School Tours

In addition to the Information Nights, school tours will be scheduled periodically. Due to the COVID-19, we are scheduling the campus tour after school hours, from 4-5 PM starting in March 2022. We will also provide a video tour for our prospective parents to be familiar with the school environment.

Please call 949-441-4500 to find and schedule the timing of the next School Tour.
